This page explains how to delete your account and your data on Project Alpha,
an app published by Project Alpha (Switzerland), available on Google Play. Two
methods are available: directly from the app, or without the app by contacting us by email.
Active Premium subscription? Cancel it in Google Play first.
Deleting your Project Alpha account
does not cancel your subscription: Google Play
would keep charging you. Before deleting your account, open
Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions,
select Project Alpha and tap
Cancel subscription. The app also shows this warning, with a
direct link, when you delete your account.
1. Delete your account from the app
- Open the Project Alpha app and sign in to your account.
- Go to Settings (icon at the top of the home screen).
- Scroll down to Delete account and tap it.
- Confirm once that you want to delete your account.
-
Confirm your identity according to your sign-in method: password, Google re-sign-in,
Apple re-sign-in, or an SMS code.
- Tap Delete permanently.
Deletion is immediate once confirmed.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have access to the app (lost phone, app uninstalled, locked account…), you
can request account deletion by email:
- Recipient: support.projectalpha@gmail.com
- Subject line: "Account deletion"
-
In the message, include your @username or the email address
linked to your account, so we can reliably identify you before proceeding.
Processing time. Deletions performed from the app are immediate. A request
sent by email is processed within 30 days at most after we verify your
identity; you receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
3. Data deleted
Deleting your account (from the app or by email) permanently erases:
- your authentication account (email/password, or Google/Apple/phone sign-in);
- your profile: name, username, age, sex, weight, height, goal, level, equipment;
- your email address and phone number (private data);
- your statistics: XP, rank, level, streak;
- your entire workout session history;
- your nutrition data and generated meal plans;
- your generated 12-week program;
- your progress photos and profile picture;
- your custom routines and programs;
- your muscle recovery data;
- your challenge progress;
- your friend list and friend requests (including your entry in each friend's own list);
- your posts and comments published on the activity feed;
- your private conversations and their messages;
-
your pack membership — with leadership transferred if you were the leader, or the pack
deleted if you were its last member — and any pending pack invitations;
- your entries in the weekly XP leaderboard;
- your referral code;
- your username (freed up for another user);
- your AI consent and saved preferences;
- your push notification token.
4. Data that may be retained, and for how long
-
AI Coach (Anthropic): we do not ourselves store any messages exchanged
with the AI Coach. Only Anthropic processes them, temporarily, to generate the reply; they
are never used to train its models and are automatically deleted from its servers after a
limited retention period for safety purposes (see our
privacy policy).
-
Technical logs: our servers (Google Cloud) keep execution logs for
diagnostics and security purposes, per Google Cloud Logging's standard retention periods
(typically up to 30 days), independently of your account deletion.
-
Payments and subscription: Project Alpha itself never stores any payment
data. Transaction and subscription history may be retained by Google Play,
Apple's App Store and RevenueCat under their own legal,
accounting and tax obligations, independently of your Project Alpha account deletion.
-
Legal obligations: where the law requires us to retain certain data beyond
deletion (for example an accounting obligation tied to a payment), it is kept only for the
period strictly necessary for that obligation, then deleted.
